HomeMy WebLinkAbout021542 ORD - 01/05/1993AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 10 -FOOT WIDE BY 38.77 -FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT IN LOT 8, BRASLAU ADDITION, SUBJECT TO MEETING SPECIFIED CONDITIONS AND REPLATTING THE PROPERTY WITHIN 180 DAYS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a 10 -foot -wide by 38.77 -foot long utility easement in Lot 8, Braslau Addition, as more fully described in the plat recorded in Volume 44, Page 170, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, be closed and abandoned subject to relocating the water meter, abandoning the water and sanitary sewer line, and replatting the property at the applicant's expense within one hundred eighty (180) days of passage of this ordinance, provided however, the City Engineer may extend the time limit for an additional one hundred eighty (180) days if extenuating circumstances outside the applicant's control necessitate an extension. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon f'rst reading as an emergencymeasure this the day of j a.11,v10.111 , 19 00 ATTEST: JJ J,, )��\� City Secretary MAYOR THE CI .• CORPUS CHRISTI APPROVED: *1 DAY OF cu' ljt , 191 ?— JAMES R.
