CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 60 -FOOT WIDE WILLIAMS DRIVE
RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM EVERHART ROAD EASTERLY 119.30 FEET;
SUBJECT TO THE ENTIRE RIGHT-OF-WAY BEING RETAINED AS A
UTILITY EASEMENT AND PAYMENT OF $9,000 AS FAIR MARKET
VALUE; CITY REPLATTING THE PROPERTY WITHIN 180 DAYS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 60 -foot wide Williams Drive right-
of-way from Everhart Road easterly 119.30 feet, as more fully
described in the plat recorded as Lot 1A, Block 1, Gardendale
No. 2, Volume 42, Page 104, and Lots 3 and 4, Block 14, Gardendale
No. 3, Volume 12, Page 59, be closed and abandoned, subject to the
entire right-of-way being retained as a utility easement and
payment of $9,000 as fair market value.
SECTION 2. That the property be replatted at City's
expense within 180 days of passage of this ordinance, provided
however, the City Engineer may extend the time limit for an
additional one hundred eighty (180) days if extenuating
circumstances outside the applicant's control necessitate an
extension.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or
five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an
emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension
of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shalltake effect upon first r ading as an emergency easure this

exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at

ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
