APPROPRIATING $99,657 FROM A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR INCREASED IMMUNIZATION OF
PRESCHOOL -AGE CHILDREN; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021441
WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 92-93 BUDGET BY ADDING $99,657 TO
FUND NO. 102-291-514.02; ADDING FOUR FULL TIME EQUIVALENTS
TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $99,657 is hereby appropriated from a grant from the Texas
Department of Health to provide increased levels of immunization of preschool -age
children.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 021441, adopting the FY 92-93 budget, is amended
by adding $99,657 to Fund No. 102-291-514.02, the Immunization and Veneral Disease
Clinic Fund.
SECTION 3. That the number of full time equivalents authorized for the Health
Department is increased by four, from 85 to 89.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary
for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency
is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passednd shall take
effect upon first reading.,as an emergency measure this the Io day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency
exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances at three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter
rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting
of the City Council.
