AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021382, PASSED AND
APPROVED ON APRIL 28, 1992, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF
SAID ORDINANCE IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL
ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST
THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREET;
Redbird Lane from Calallen Drive to IH 37 Frontage Road.
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 021382 passed and approved on April 28,
1992, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and
assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street:
Redbird Lane from Calallen Drive to IH 37 Frontage Road;
a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
marked Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate
action necessary for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of
the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 23 day of �6

Final Assessment Roll
Redbird Lane Street Improvements
The Redbird Lane Street improvement project shall consist of
improvements to the following streets:
Redbird Lane Street Improvements
The street shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth
to permit the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section. 6"
compacted subgrade, 6" compacted caliche base, Type "D" Hot Mix
asphaltic pavement. The street shall be 40' wide and constructed
within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' or 5' wide
reinforced concrete sidewalks, 4" thick, 6" thick reinforced
concrete driveway and 0-6' high retaining walls to be constructed
as shown on the plans.
The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the
City's current assessment policy and the low bid prices submitted
by W.T. Young Construction Company. The assessment rates are as
follows:

rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting
of the City Council.
