AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING
SERVICES WITH THE NYFELER ORGANIZATION, INC. FOR THE
ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; INCREASING THE FEE FOR
CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES BY $66,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, be and is hereby
authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract for consulting services with The
Nyfeler Organization, Inc. for the Roof Replacement Project at the Corpus Christi
International Airport, a substantial copy of which is attached and incorporated herewith as
Exhibit A, increasing the fee for construction phase services by $66,000.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after
its passage in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Corpus Christi
and it is accordingly so resolved.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT
FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR
ROOF REPAIRS AT THE
CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The City of Corpus Christi, hereinafter called "City", and The Nyfeler Organization, Inc.,
hereinafter called "Architect, agree to the following amendment to the agreement for consultant
services for the roof repairs at the Corpus Christi International Airport, dated May 17, 1990, and as
approved by City Council Resolution No. 20992, passed May 15, 1990.
WHEREAS, the time of completion of construction phase services negotiated as part of the
original agreement are dependent upon the contractor's progress of the work and were predicated
upon the completion of the construction contract within 120 calendar days; and
WHEREAS, the completion of the construction contract has substantially exceeded the time
allotted.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Architect agree to the following amendment to the contract:
1. The first sentence of Section III, SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS, Section 4, shallbe deleted
and the following inserted in lieu thereof.
"During the Construction Phase, Architect will be paid a sum equal to
$19,160 plus $72,300 for Full Time Roof Inspector Fee."
All terms and conditions of the Agreement for Consultant Services dated May 17, 1990, and as
approved by City Council Resolution No. 20992, passed May 15, 1992, not specifically addressed
herein shall remain in full force and effect.
EXECUTED IN DUPLICATE, each of which shall be considered an original, this day
of , 1993.
