HomeMy WebLinkAbout021638 ORD - 04/27/1993AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53, TRAFFIC, SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V, INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES BY REDUCING THE SPEED LIMIT FROM 50 MPH TO 45 MPH ON SARATOGA BOULEVARD (S.H. 357) BETWEEN KOSTORYZ ROAD TO A POINT 300 FEET WEST OF WEBER ROAD; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, Chapter 53, Traffic, Section 53-254, Schedule V, increase of State speed limit in certain zones within the City of Corpus Christi is hereby amended as follows: Saratoga Boulevard (S.H. 357): All that portion within the city limits --55 mph --At all times Except as follows: From Ayers Street (S.H.286) to Greenwood Drive --50 mph --At all times. From Ayers Strcet (S.H. 286) to a point 300 feet west of Weber Road (F.M. 13) 50 mph At all times From Ayers Street (S.H. 286) to Kostoryz Road --50 mph --At all times AG5000342.ajr From Kostoryz Road to a point 187 feet east of Staples Street --45 mph --At all times, except when school zone flashers indicating 30 mph are displayed from a point approximately 1,450 feet east of Kostoryz Road to a point approximately 2,950 feet east of Kostoryz Road. From Cimmaron Boulevard (Sta. 437+75 to Airline Road (Sta. 457 + 95)--50 mph --At all times, except when school zone flashers indicating 35 mph are displayed for a distance of 250 feet each side of Cimmaron Boulevard. From a point approximately 1,650 feet west of Rodd Field (Sta. 477+48.3) to a point approximately 910 feet west of Rodd Field Road (Sta. 484+08.3)--50 mph --At all times 021838 MICROFILMED Street (city limits line) 45 mph At all times, except when school zone . .. . -...• :: •- Shea Parkway to a point 250 feet cast of Swansea Drive. SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provisions of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provisions here& be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
