HomeMy WebLinkAbout021658 ORD - 05/25/1993AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 21379, PASSED AND APPROVED ON APRIL 28, 1992, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $55,784.57 ON TWENTY ITEMS, LEVIED AGAINST THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING ON 15TH STREET FROM AYERS STREET TO SOUTH STAPLES STREET AS PART OF THE WYNN SEALE AREA STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE I PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 21379 passed and approved on April 28, 1992, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments in the amount of $55,784.57 on twenty items, levied against owners of property abutting on 15th Street from Ayers Street to South Staples Street, as part of the Wynn Seale Area Street Improvements, Phase I Project, a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 25 day of !V���,�\ 1993.
