AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE,
TO EXECUTE AN ASSIGNMENT OF THE AIRLINE LEASE
WITH DELTA AIR LINES, INC. AUTHORIZED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 20953 ON JULY 24, 1990 TO ATLANTIC
SOUTHEAST AIRLINES, INC.; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE
AN AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE WITH ATLANTIC
SOUTHEAST AIRLINES, INC.; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute
an assignment of the airline lease with Delta Air Lines, Inc. authorized by Ordinance No.
20953 on July 24, 1990, to Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute
an amendment to the assigned lease with Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc. by changing
Exhibit C-2 to Exhibit A which shows the location of the holdroom space. A substantial
copy of the assignment and amendment is attached and incorporated as Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary
for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency
is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect jpon first readin as an emergency measure this the 27_ day of

AIRLINE LEASE AND AMENDMENT
STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF NUECES §
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi (City) authorized an Airline Lease with Delta
Air Lines, Inc. (Delta) on July 24, 1990 by Ordinance No. 20953; and
WHEREAS, Delta has determined that it can best serve the Corpus Christi market
through its affiliation with Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc. (ASA); and
WHEREAS, Delta wishes to assign its Airline Lease to ASA but needs City Council's
prior approval; and
WHEREAS, ASA's aircraft cannot use the Delta jetway, the holdroom needs to be
moved from the West Concourse, Gate 16 to West Concourse, Gate 12 and the Airline
Lease needs to be amended to reflect the gate relocation; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing to approve the assignment and amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows:

The City hereby consents to the assignment of Delta's Airline Lease,
approved by Ordinance No. 20953 on July 24, 1990, to ASA, subject to
ASA assuming all of Delta's rights, duties, and obligations thereunder,
effective June 1, 1993.
Exhibit A showing the ASA Gate location is substituted for the July
24, 1990 Exhibit C-2 and shall control the ASA Gate location until a
new Airline Lease is executed.

3. All other terms and conditions of the Airline Lease not changed herein
shall remain the same.
