APPROPRIATING $454,000.00 FROM THE GROUP HEALTH
UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE; APPROPRIATING $374,000.00 OF
EXCESS REVENUE IN GROUP HEALTH FUND NO. 138; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 021441, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 92-93 BUDGET, BY
ADDING $828,000.00 TO GROUP HEALTH FUND NO. 138; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. $454,000.00 revenue is appropriated from the Group Health
Unreserved Fund Balance to pay anticipated claims costs incurred in FY 92-93.
SECTION 2. $374,000.00 of excess revenue in Group Health Fund No. 138 is
appropriated to pay anticipated claims costs incurred in FY 92-93.
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 021441, which adopted the FY 92-93 budget, is
amended by adding $828,000.00 to Group Health Fund No. 138.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary
for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency
is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading3 s an emergency measure this the 2a day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter
rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
