AMENDING CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE SECTION 18-2 TO INCREASE AND ADD
CERTAIN FIRE PREVENTION PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi City Code, Section 18-2, Permit
Fees, is hereby amended by to read as follows:
Sec. 18-2 Permit Fees.
Applications for permits shall be accompanied by payment of fees in
accordance with the Corpus Christi Fire Department Fire Prevention Permit
Schedule as follows:

If for some any reason an additional inspection of the site is required
(in connection with the permit approval), after the first two (2)
inspections, thc original permit fcc muct be resubmitted to thc permit
officc bcforc any subsequent inspection can be made a re -inspection fee
equal to the original permit fee shall be paid prior to each additional
inspection.
Churches not having day care facilities can pay a one-time fee for an
assembly occupancy.
Burning permits will not be issued unless both fire prevention and
environmental control division approve the material to be burned.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision clause,
phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgement of a court of competent jurisdiction,
it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision clause,
phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent
of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision clause,
phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its
purpose.
SECTION 3. The City Secretary is directed to make any publication of
this ordinance which may be required by law.
