HomeMy WebLinkAbout021711 ORD - 07/27/1993AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, SECTION 13-48 TO INCREASE FEES FOR IMPOUNDING, STORAGE, AND DISPOSING OF JUNKED AND ABANDONED VEHICLES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That the City Code, Section 13-48, Subsections (2) & (8), are hereby amended to read as follows: Section 13-48. Fees for impounding, storage, etc. (2) Storage fee, including storage for all or part of the first twenty-four hours, five dollarc ($5.00), and for each twenty- four -four period or portion thereof_ (a) Five dollars C$5.00) per day for recovered stolen vehicles; _WI Seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) per day for other vehicles less than one (1) ton; or u Ten dollars ($10.00) per day for other vehicles one (1) ton or more. (8) For administrative handling and processing, ccvcn dollarc and fifty ccntc ($7.50) ten dollars ($10.00). SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgement of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
