AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 13, BUILDINGS;
CONSTRUCTION AND RELATED OPERATIONS; HOUSING AND
HOUSING PREMISES STANDARDS, SECTION 13-48. FEES FOR
IMPOUNDING, STORAGE, ETC., TO INCREASE TOWING FEES;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, Chapter 13,
Buildings; Construction and Related Operations; Housing and Housing Premises Standards,
Section 13-48. Fees for Impounding, which is hereby deleted and a new Section 13-48 is
substituted therefor to read as follows:
Sec. 13-48. Fees for impounding, storage, etc.
Fees shall be charged and shall be paid to the impounder of the city, only if
performed by the police division and in accordance with the fee schedule located in
Section 57-254.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provisions of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final
judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section,
paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance for it is the
definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provisions hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
