HomeMy WebLinkAbout021835 ORD - 12/21/1993AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTIONS 55-50.1, 55-61.1, 55-100.1, TO PROVIDE FOR ASSESSING RATES AND CHARGES FOR CITY UTILITIES TO THE AVIATION, GOLF, AND MARINA FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 55 - Utilities, is hereby amended by amending Sections 55-50.1, 55-61.1, 55-100.1 by adding the following statement: "Provided, however, that rates and charges shall be assessed for City utilities provided to City buildings, institutions, and activities operated by the City for which operating and maintenance expenditures are recorded in the Aviation, Golf, and Marina funds." SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. \ord\93111 718x5 That the foregoing ordinance was rea for the first time and passed to it§ second reading on this the it day of l�C C.k £&AJ .c r , 19 Ej , by the following vote: Mary Rhodes Jack Best Melody Cooper Cezar Galindo Betty Jean Longoria L Edward A.
