HomeMy WebLinkAbout021869 ORD - 02/15/1994AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $98,157.00 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THE CONTINUATION OF IMMUNIZATION SERVICES DURING THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1994 TO DECEMBER 31, 1994; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021707 WHICH ADOPTED THE FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 BUDGET BY ADDING $98,157.00 TO THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND - HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated a grant in the amount of $98,157.00 from the Texas Department of Health for the continuation of immunization services during the period January 1, 1994 to December 31, 1994. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 021707 which adopted the fiscal year 1993-94 budget is hereby amended by adding $98,157.00 to the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund - Health Department. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon --first reading as an emergency asure this the (5 kb day of vi2&O.. n''� , 19 0( .
