AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE
A ONE YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT, WITH A MONTH TO MONTH
RENEWAL PERIOD THEREAFTER UNTIL TERMINATED, BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND ROYAL IN-FLITE CATERING SERVICE
FOR IN -FLITS CATERING SERVICES AT CORPUS CHRISTI
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR $1,500 MONTHLY OR 8 PERCENT OF
GROSS MONTHLY INCOME, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, AND PROVIDING
FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized
to execute a one year lease agreement, with a month to month renewal period thereafter
until terminated, betweeen the City and Royal In-flite Catering service for in-flite catering
services at Corpus Christi International Airport for $1,500 monthly, or 8 percent of gross
monthly income, whichever is greater, a substantial copy of which is attached and
incorporated as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City
of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.

SHORT-TERM LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI/CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
AND
ROYAL IN-FLITE CATERING
THIS LEASE AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is entered into by and
between the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal corporation having
home -rule powers under the laws of the State of Texas ("City") and
Royal In-Flite Catering, Inc., a Texas Corporation doing business
in Texas ("Royal");
WHEREAS, the city owns and operates the City of Corpus Christi
International Airport, located at 1000 International Drive, Corpus
Christi, Nueces County, Texas ("Airport"); and
WHEREAS, Royal wishes to continue to provide airline food
catering service at the Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
(1) LEASED PREMISES. The City leases to Royal, and Royal
takes from the City, facilities for in-flite catering services
identified in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof for
all purposes.
(2) TERM OF AGREEMENT. The term of this Agreement shall be
for one (1) year, commencing sixty (60) days after final approval
by the City Council, with either party having the right to cancel
this Agreement upon thirty (30) days written notice.
(3) TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The terms and conditions of the
Lease Agreement shall be the same as the terms and conditions of
the long term Lease Agreement dated August 20, 1985, a copy of
which is attached to ordinance No. 18985 and on file in the City
Secretary's office and made a part hereof for all purposes as if
fully set out herein. The only exceptions are as stated:
A. The term which shall be as set out above.
B. The minimum monthly business fee which shall be $1,500.00
or eight percent (8%) of gross monthly income until this
agreement expires or is otherwise terminated, whichever
is higher.
C. Royal is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the
grease trap on monthly basis.
D. Royal is responsible for paying all costs of publication
of notice of this lease as required by City Charter.
E. Royal is responsible for all maintenance costs, with the
exception of the heating/air conditioning system.

F. Royal shall give Airport Director advance notice of any
construction requiring airport personnel support.
G. Royal shall pay 10% of the costs on the disposal and
compactor.
H. The City intends to begin reconstruction of the terminal
in 1994, including construction of new kitchen
facilities. The kitchen may include a provision for in-
flight catering, to be funded in part by the operator
selected. If the new facilities are not in place when
this contract expires, this contract will continue on a
month to month basis. Royal reserves the right to be
included in the bid proposal process for the new
facility.
I. Royal shall not on the ground of race, color, sex, age,
handicap, or national origin, discriminate or permit
discrimination against any person or group of persons in
any manner prohibited by 49 CFR Part 21 Nondiscrimination
in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of
Transportation, as said Regulations may be amended. City
is hereby granted the right to take such action as the
United States may direct to enforce this
nondiscrimination covenant, anything to the contrary
herein notwithstanding.
J. Royal shall follow all safety and security guidelines
promulgated by City and/or the Federal Aviation
Administration ("FAA") which are applicable to Royal.
Royal shall be responsible for any and all fines or
penalties levied against Airport as a result of any
breach of security or safety caused by Royal or its
employees, subcontractors, suppliers or representatives.
All Royal's employees, subcontractors, suppliers or
representatives who enter into Airport operations area
which shall be defined as any portion of Airport property
normally secured against unauthorized entry (AOA"), shall
go through any City or FAA required security clearance
and follow all security and safety requirements. A copy
of said requirements has been furnished to Royal and may
be reviewed at Airport's business office during business
hours.
