APPROPRIATING $22,713 FROM OLDER AMERICANS ACT (TITLE III)
FUNDS AND $13,589 FROM USDA FUNDS FOR THE ELDERLY
NUTRITION PROGRAM; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021707 WHICH
ADOPTED THE FY 1993-94 OPERATING BUDGET BY ADDING $36,302
TO THE FEDERAL/STATE GRANT FUND NO. 162-154-808.36; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Appropriating $22,713 from Older Americans Act (Title III) funds and
$13,589 from USDA funds for the elderly nutrition program.
SECTION 2. Amending Ordinance No. 021797, which adopted the 1993-94
operating by adding $36,302 to the Federal/State Grant Fund No. 162-154-808.36.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary
for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency
is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect u on first reading as an emergency measure this the 22 day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter
rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
