AMENDING RESOLUTION 021868, ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 15, 1994, BY CHANGING
HEARING AND FILING DATES IN CONNECTION WITH
THE REVIEW OF THE REASONABLENESS OF CENTRAL
POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY'S RATES
WHEREAS, Central Power and Light Company ("CPL") by letter
delivered on March 9, 1994 expressed its belief that resources will
be saved by avoidance of additional proceedings in Corpus Christi,
and waived its objection to an expedited hearing and waived its
right to oral argument; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is in the interest of
ratepayers to expedite proceedings reviewing CPL's rates, and no
party will be injured by expedited proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 5 of Resolution 021868 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
A public hearing shall be conducted by the City Council
for the City of Corpus Christi on March 22, 1994, during
the regular council meeting scheduled to commence at 2:00
p.m.
SECTION 2. Any time schedules inconsistent with the hearing
date established herein are modified to require that the action be
completed by March 22, 1994.
