APPROPRIATING $97,065.00 AS PART OF A TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
GRANT FOR PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL
COORDINATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE GOLLIHAR ROAD AND
MORGAN AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL COORDINATION PROJECTS;
ADDING $97,065.00 TO THE 220 STREET BOND FUND NO. 220-612-
602.63-596 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $97,065.00 as part of a Texas
Department of Transportation Highway Safety improvement program grant for purchase of
traffic control signal coordination equipment for the Gollihar Road and Morgan Avenue
Traffic Signal coordination projects.
SECTION 2. That $97,065.00 be added to the 220 Street Bond Fund No. 220-
612-602.63-596.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate
action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of
an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed a d shall take effect upon irst reading as an emergency this the i day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter
rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
