HomeMy WebLinkAbout021969 ORD - 06/21/1994AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,800,000 TRANSFERRED FROM THE CONSOLIDATED UTILITIES SYSTEM FUND INTO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, FOR ALLOCATION TO THE WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND AND THE WASTEWATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND IN THE RESPECTIVE AMOUNTS OF $700,000 AND $1,100,000 TO SUPPORT WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITY ADJUSTMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE STATE'S CONSTRUCTION OF THE VIOLET ROAD AND OLD BROWNSVILLE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $1,800,000 transferred from the Consolidated Utilities System Fund into the Capital Improvement Fund, for allocation to the Water Capital Improvement Fund and the Wastewater Capital Improvement Fund in the respective amounts of $700,000 and $1,100,000 to support water and wastewater utility adjustments associated with the State's construction of the Violet Road and Old Brownsville Road improvements. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the Q j day of ye0J/ , 19 qv .
