AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE
A LEASE WITH SAMUEL ROGGERS AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE
SIDEWALKS, AND MEDIANS ON SHORELINE BOULEVARD BETWEEN
RESACA AND PALO ALTO STREETS FOR THEIR NON-EXCLUSIVE USE
FROM AUGUST 31, 1994 TO SEPTEMBER 6, 1994 AND THEIR
EXCLUSIVE USE SEPTEMBER 2 AT 4 P.M. TO 9 A.M. SEPTEMBER
5, 1994 IN CONSIDERATION OF A $25 PERMIT FEE AND 4% OF
THEIR GROSS RECEIPTS OR DIRECT CITY COSTS WHICHEVER IS
GREATER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS;
SECTION 1: That the City Manager, or his designee, is
hereby authorized to execute a lease with Samuel Roggers and
Associates for the sidewalks and medians on Shoreline Boulevard
between Resaca and Palo Alto Streets for their non-exclusive use
from August 31, 1994 to September 6, 1994 and their exclusive use
Spetember 2 at 4 p.m. to 9 a.m. September 5, 1994, in consideration
of a permit fee of $25.00 and the payment of 4% of their gross
receipts or direct City costs, whichever is greater.
SECTION 2: That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency
due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient
and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shallke effect
upon first reading as an//��e,�`ergency measure this the W day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter
rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
