HomeMy WebLinkAbout022030 ORD - 09/13/1994ORD INANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF THE NAVIGATION BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN U.S. HIGHWAY 181 AND AVENUE F CONSISTING OF 0.8967 ACRES OUT OF BLOCKS 46, 49, 91, 95, AND 96 OF THE BROOKLYN ADDITION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, there exists portion of the Navigation Boulevard right-of-way between U.S. Highway 181 and Avenue F consisting of 0.8967 acres out of Blocks 46, 49, 91, 95, and 96 of the Brooklyn Addition, as shown by plat recorded in Volume A, Pages 30, 31, and 32, of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That a portion of the Navigation Boulevard right-of-way between U.S. Highway 181 and Avenue F consisting of 0.8967 acres out of Blocks 46, 49, 91, 95, and 96 of the Brooklyn Addition, as shown by plat recorded in Volume A, Pages 30, 31, and 32, of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, and as shown on Exhibit "A", be and the same is hereby closed for public use and every municipal purpose, subject to: 1. Southwestern Bell, Central Power & Light Company and City Water and Wastewater Divisions, all require that utility easements be retained for their respective facilities. 2. The value of upgrading the water distribution system in the area, $19,406.00, be deemed adequate consideration for the fair market value of the right-of-way being closed.
