CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF THE NAVIGATION
BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN U.S. HIGHWAY 181 AND
AVENUE F CONSISTING OF 0.8967 ACRES OUT OF BLOCKS 46, 49,
91, 95, AND 96 OF THE BROOKLYN ADDITION; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there exists portion of the Navigation Boulevard
right-of-way between U.S. Highway 181 and Avenue F consisting of
0.8967 acres out of Blocks 46, 49, 91, 95, and 96 of the Brooklyn
Addition, as shown by plat recorded in Volume A, Pages 30, 31, and
32, of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That a portion of the Navigation Boulevard
right-of-way between U.S. Highway 181 and Avenue F consisting of
0.8967 acres out of Blocks 46, 49, 91, 95, and 96 of the Brooklyn
Addition, as shown by plat recorded in Volume A, Pages 30, 31, and
32, of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, and as shown on
Exhibit "A", be and the same is hereby closed for public use and
every municipal purpose, subject to:
1. Southwestern Bell, Central Power & Light Company
and City Water and Wastewater Divisions, all
require that utility easements be retained for
their respective facilities.
2. The value of upgrading the water distribution
system in the area, $19,406.00, be deemed adequate
consideration for the fair market value of the
right-of-way being closed.
SECTION 2: That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency
due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient
and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect

conveyed to Coastal Fuels Marketing, Inc. by special warranty deed dated March 19, 1992, and
recorded as Document No. 797064 in the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, S 28°44'42"
W, 14.31 ft., to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE, N 36°42'33" W, 280.40 ft.;
THENCE, N 35°50'57" W, 462.93 ft. to the beginning point of a curve to the left; said curve
having a central angle of 29°42'09", a radius of 175.00 ft. and a tangent of 46.40 ft.; the radius
point of said curve bears S 54°09'03" W, 175.00 ft.;
THENCE, along the curve a distance of 90.72 ft. to the end point of said curve and the beginning
point of another curve to the left; said curve having a central angle of 25°49'01", a radius of 300.00

or at the present meeting of the City Council.
