HomeMy WebLinkAbout022054 ORD - 10/11/1994AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A THREE DAY LEASE, OCTOBER 29-31, 1994, WITH ANAHUAC ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION FOR USE OF AN AREA ON THE NORTH END OF CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH BOUNDED BY THE WATER, GULDEN AVENUE, AND GULF BREEZE AVENUE, AND ALSO THAT PORTION OF CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH LEASED TO THE MULTIHULL SAILING ASSOCIATION FROM 12 NOON OCTOBER 30, 1994, TO 6 AM OCTOBER 31, 1994, IN CONSIDERATION OF 5% OF GROSS PROFITS, OR THE CITY'S DIRECT COSTS, WHICHEVER ARE GREATER, TO HOLD A BRUJITA NIGHT/HALLOWEEN BASH TEJANO MUSIC FESTIVAL; THE LEASE IS NONEXCLUSIVE EXCEPT FROM 12 NOON OCTOBER 30, 1994 UNTIL 6 AM OCTOBER 31, 1994, WHEN IT IS EXCLUSIVE TO HOLD A BRUJITA NIGHT/HALLOWEEN BASH TEJANO MUSIC FESTIVAL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a three day lease, October 29-31, 1994, with Anahuac Entertainment Corporation for use of an area on the north end of Corpus Christi Beach bounded by the water, Gulden Avenue, and Gulf Breeze Avenue, and also that portion of Corpus Christi Beach leased to the Multihull Sailing Association from 12 noon October 30, 1994, to 6 AM October 31, 1994, in consideration of 5% of gross profits, or the City's direct costs, whichever are greater, to hold a Brujita Night/Halloween Bash Tejano Music Festival. SECTION 2.
