AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53 - TRAFFIC,
SECTION 53-257, SCHEDULE VIII, PARKING METER ZONES,
ESTABLISHED, BY (a) ESTABLISHING A 5 -CENTS PER HOUR PARKING
METER ZONE ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE 100 BLOCK AND BOTH
SIDES OF THE 200 BLOCK OF MESQUITE STREET, (b) CONVERTING
10 -HOUR PARKING METERS TO 2 -HOUR PARKING METERS ALONG
THE EAST SIDE OF THE 100 BLOCK OF MESQUITE STREET, AND (c)
CONVERTING 2 -HOUR PARKING METERS TO 10 -HOUR PARKING
METERS ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF THE 200 BLOCK OF MESQUITE
STREET; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR
PENALTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 53-257, Schedule VII, Parking Meter Zones is hereby amended
as follows :
(b) Meter Zone No. 2 by deleting the following sections:

(9)
Mesquite Street - (both sides) - Upper Broadway to John Sartain Street.
Mesquite Street - (west side only) John Sartain Street to William Street.
(d) Meter Zone No. 4 by deleting the following section:
(6) Mesquite Street - (east side only) - John Sartain Street to William Street.
and in lieu thereof adding:
(6) Mesquite Street - (east side only) - Cooper's Alley to John Sartain Street.
(k) Meter Zone No. 11, is established as a maximum ten-hour meter zone in which
parking shall be limited to a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of ten (10) hours upon the
deposit of one nickel coin for each hour, and ten (10) nickel coins or combination of quarter coins,
dime coins, and nickel coins for ten (10) hours, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any
day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays officially set by the city council, upon the following
streets:

(1) Mesquite Street - (both sides) - John Sartain Street to William Street.
(2) Mesquite Street - (west side only) - Upper North Broadway to John Sartain Street

SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City
of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 3. A violation of these parking meter zone restrictions may result in a
citation being issued and a fine being assessed.
