HomeMy WebLinkAbout022119 ORD - 12/20/1994AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021997 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1994-95 BUDGET BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE BY $10,000, AND APPROPRIATING $10,000 IN THE TOURIST AND CONVENTION FUND NO. 103 FOR PHASE ONE OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF POTENTIAL SITES FOR CONVENTION AND SPORTS FACILITIES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW 1'HLREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 021997 adopting the City of Corpus Christi budget for the ensuing fiscal year beginning August 1, 1994, and ending July 31, 1995, is hereby amended by increasing appropriations from the Unreserved Fund Balance by $10,000, and appropriating $10,000 in the tourist and convention center fund no. 103 for phase one of a feasibility study of potential sites for convention and sports facilities. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the immediate and efficient utilization of physical resources in the City and the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is "assed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 21: day of )0(P�`^" f , 1994.
