HomeMy WebLinkAbout022125 ORD - 01/10/1995AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $200,000 FROM TEXAS A & M UNIVERSITY -CORPUS CHRISTI FOR THE BAY TRAIL PROJECT AS THE UNIVERSITY'S SHARE OF THE LOCAL MATCH FOR 1Hk FIRST AND FUTURE PHASES OF THE PROJECT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022076 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1994-95 CAPITAL BUDGET TO ADD $200,000 TO THE NO. 291 PARK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $200,000 from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi as the Texas A & M University -Corpus Christi's share of the local match for the first and future phases of the Bay Trail Project. SECTION 2. Amending Ordinance No. 022076 which adopted the FY 1994-95 capital budget by adding $200,000 to the No. 291 Park Capital Improvement Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the D day of -4 , 19 ATTEST: Armando Chapa City Secretary Mayor Mary Rh es City of Corpus Christi S APPROVED: r DAY OF "r..yi,tetti7 , 199) JAMES R.
