HomeMy WebLinkAbout022130 ORD - 01/10/1995AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 94-95 CAPITAL BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $47,250 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND FUEL STORAGE TANKS AT THE POWER STREET STORM WATER PUMP STATION; DECREASING THE SCOPE OF DOWNTOWN PUMP STATION "A" (POWER STREET) FLAP GATE AND AUTOMATED TRASH RAKE PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Whereas, it appears that three (3) 500 -gallon steel underground fuel storage tanks located at the Power Street Storm Water Pump Station are not in compliance with current and projected regulatory requirements and should be replaced; Whereas, it is proposed to fund the cost of installation of replacement fuel storage tanks by allocating funds from the balance in the Downtown Storm Water Pump Station "A" (Power Street) Flap Gate and Automated Trash Rake Project; and Whereas, this allocation will necessitate a corresponding reduction in the scope of the flap gate rehabilitation project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The FY 94-95 Capital Budget is amended to authorize funding in the amount of $47,250 for the installation of underground fuel storage tanks at the Power Street Storm Water Pump Station. Such funding shall be allocated from the balance in the Downtown Pump Station "A" (Power Street) Flap Gate and Automated Trash Rake Project. This allocation will necessitate a corresponding reduction in the scope of the flap gate rehabilitation project. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ,./t7 day of , 1995.
