APPROPRIATING A MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,000
FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNITY CULTURAL PLAN; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 021997 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1994-95 BUDGET BY
ADDING $24,000 TO THE GRANTS ARTS SUPPORT FUND NO. 162-266-
804.04-301; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated a matching grant in the amount of $24,000
from the National Endowment for the Arts for development of a Community Cultural Plan; Amending
Ordinance No. 021997 which adopted the FY 1994-95 budget by adding $24,000 to the Grants Arts
Support Fund No. 162-266-804.04-301.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the immediate and efficient utilization
of physical resources in the City and the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and
effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency

ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular

rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
