WHEREAS, a Nazi -sponsored show is being aired on cable public access television; and
WHEREAS, the show glorifies the crimes and philosophy of Adolph Hitler, madness which
caused the murders of millions of innocent people; and
WHEREAS, the show advocates the brutal destruction of the constitutional rights of millions
of our friends and neighbors, locally and nationwide; and
WHEREAS, our parents and grandparents made great sacrifices, many the supreme sacrifice,
to rid the world of this philosophy antithetical to every American value; and
WHEREAS, virtually every citizen of Corpus Christi is revulsed at the seditious, aberrant
ideas expressed by these few; and
WHEREAS, the City Council shares that revulsion of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, such ideas should never go unchallenged.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. On behalf of the citizens of Corpus Christi, we condemn the ideas expressed
by the Nazi show "Race and Reason".
SECTION 2. We urge all our citizens to voice and demonstrate their abhorrence of the
show's ideas in every lawful manner.
SECTION 3. We urge all our citizens to reaffirm and rededicate themselves to a better
community through the fair, equal, respectful, and lawful treatment of all persons and groups.
SECTION 4. We urge all of our educational institutions to educate students about the Nazi
atrocities, so that the sacrifices measured in American blood are never forgotten, and the ideals
preserved are vigilantly maintained.
