AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE USE PRIVILEGE AGREEMENT WITH
AMERADA HESS CORPORATION (AHC), AS APPROVED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 021731, PASSED AUGUST 17, 1993 AND AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 021887 ON MARCH 1, 1994 AND BY ORDINANCE NO.
022103 ON DECEMBER 13, 1994; ESTABLISHING A USE FEE OF $3,000
FOR THE FOUR ADDITIONAL MONITORING WELLS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 3 to the Use Privilege Agreement with Amerada Hess Corporation (AHC), as approved by
Ordinance No. 021731, passed August 17, 1993 and amended by Ordinance No. 021887 on March 1, 1994
and by Ordinance No. 022103 on December 13, 1994; establishing a use fee of $3,000 for the four additional
monitoring wells; as set forth in the Agreement, a substantial copy of which is on file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached,
to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs,
such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 14 day of R by titL'i;►A') , 1995.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we,
therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
