AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
SIGN A GRANT APPLICATION AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURSE CONSERVATION
COMMISSION FOR $32,938 TO IMPLEMENT AN USED OIL
COLLECTION CENTER AT THE CITY MARINA, AND TO
UNDERTAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE
PROJECT; ASSURING COMPLIANCE WITH FISCAL
REIMBURSEMENT AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS;
ASSURING THAT THE GRANT FUNDS WILL ONLY BE SPENT
FOR AN USED OIL COLLECTION CENTER AT THE CITY
MARINA; AND ASSURING THAT THIS PROJECT SUPPORTS THE
REGIONAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLANS AND
PROGRAMS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized
to sign a grant application and enter into a contract with the Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission for $32,938 to implement an used oil collection center at
the City Marina, and to undertake all actions necessary to implement the project.
SECTION 2. That as the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi we
affirm to the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission our support of the
used oil collection center at the City Marina.
SECTION 3. That as the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi we
affirm that the City of Corpus Christi will comply with the provisions of the fiscal
reimbursement and reporting requirements of the TNRCC and the State of Texas.
SECTION 4. That as the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi we
affirm that any grant funding awarded in response to the City of Corpus Christi's

proposal will be used only for the purpose(s) for which it is provided (i.e. a used oil
collection center at the City Marina).
SECTION 5. That as the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi we
affirm that the used oil collection center at the City Marina is in compliance with
and supports local or regional solid waste management plans or programs applicable
to the geographic area of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend.
