CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 3,076.61 -SQUARE FOOT PORTION OF
WINDWARD DRIVE AND LEEWARD DRIVE RIGHT-OF-WAY;
ADJOINING LOT 12, BLOCK 46, PADRE ISLAND SECTION "A";
SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS; AND
THE OWNER REPLATTING THE PROPERTY WITHIN 180 DAYS AT
OWNER'S EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, there exists a 3,076.61 -square foot portion of Windward Drive and Leeward
Drive right-of-way; adjoining Lot 12, Block 46, Padre Island Section "A", as shown by plat recorded
in Volume 33, Pages 97-99, of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous to the City of
Corpus Christi to abandon said easement, subject to the provisions listed below;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That a, 3,076.61 -square foot portion of Windward Drive and Leeward Drive
right-of-way; adjoining Lot 12, Block 46, Padre Island Section "A", as shown by plat recorded in
Volume 33, Pages 97-99, of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, be and the same is hereby
closed for public use and every municipal purpose, subject to the following specified conditions as
part of closure:
1) That Owner dedicate a ten -foot utility easement across the proposed closure
area for a 24 -inch RCP storm sewer line.
2) That Owner dedicate a ten -foot utility easement across the proposed closure
area for a 4 -inch gas line.
3) That Owner provide and maintain a 20 -foot setback according to Sec. 53-9
City Code of Ordinances.
4) That Owner pay the fair market value of $925.00.
