ADOPTING THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CONSOLIDATED PLAN
FOR COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR
FY 95; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO
SUBMIT THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT; AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE
CONSOLIDATED PLAN IF REQUIRED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires each local
jurisdiction to submit a consolidated plan for the planning and applications for Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investments Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency
Shelter Grants (ESG) programs after public hearings;
WHEREAS, in accordance with proper notice to the public, a public hearing was held on
Wednesday, April 12, 1995, during a meeting of the Planning Commission and on Tuesday,
April 25, 1995, during a meeting of the City Council, in the Council Chambers at City Hall in the
City of Corpus Christi allowing all interested persons to appear and be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi Consolidated Community Planning and
Development Program describes housing needs and market conditions, sets out a five year strategy
that establishes priorities for meeting those needs, identifies resources anticipated to be available fro
the provision of affordable and supportive housing, and establishes a one year action plan that
outlines the intended uses of resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby adopts the City of Corpus Christi Consolidated
Plan for Community Planning and Development Programs for FY 95.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to
submit the consolidated plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
SECTION 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to
make changes in the consolidated plan if required by the U. S. Department of Housing and
Community Development.
