HomeMy WebLinkAbout022230 ORD - 05/09/19951 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,101.00 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR IMMUNIZATION SERVICES DURING THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1,1995 TO DECEMBER 31,1995; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021997, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1994- 95 BUDGET, BY ADDING $26,101.00 TO THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND - HEALTH DEPARTMENT; ADDING ONE FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITION TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated a grant in the amount of $26,101 from the Texas Department of Health for immunization services during the period of January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1995. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 021997, which adopted the FY 1994-95 budget, is amended by adding $26, 101 to the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund - Health Department. SECTION 3. That the number of full-time equivalents for the Health Department is increased by one. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that thi ordinance is passedn and^Ashall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the CI day of 'v "'V V , 1995.
