HomeMy WebLinkAbout022249 ORD - 06/13/1995AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE QUIT CLAIM DEEDS FOR "TRACT 1" (1,022 SQUARE FEET) TO OMNI -WEBER, LTD., A LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, FOR A NOMINAL FEE OF $100.00; "TRACT 2" (10,768 SQUARE FEET) TO PAW PROPERTIES, LTD., A LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, FOR A NOMINAL FEE OF $100.00; AND "TRACT 3" (1,798 SQUARE FEET) TO PAW PROPERTIES, LTD., A LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, FOR A NOMINAL VALUE OF $100.00, OUT OF A TRACT OF LAND LYING BETWEEN THE HOLLY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND LOTS C AND LOT 1, BLOCK 10, SCHANEN ESTATES UNIT 1; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute quit claims deeds for Tract 1 (1,022 square feet) to Omni -Weber, Ltd. for a nominal fee of $100.00 and for Tract 2 (10,768 square feet) for a nominal fee of $100.00 and Tract 3 (1,798 square feet) for a nominal fee of $100.00 to PAW Properties, Ltd., subject to Omni -Weber, Ltd., or its successors and assigns, replatting Lot C, Block 10, Schanen Estates, Unit #1 within 180 days of the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 13 day of J U,. , 1995.
