AUTHORIZING PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND LEISURE
TIME ACTIVITIES RENTAL FEE AND RECREATIONAL FEE
INCREASES AND ADDING NEW RENTAL FEES AND RECREATIONAL
FEES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the limits for rental rate increases established in City Code
sections 36-3, 36-7 and 36-8, the parks and recreation director is authorized to increase certain fees
as set forth below, with the rate increase limits in sections 36-3, 36-7 and 36-8 thereafter applying
to the fees authorized herein.
Youth Athletics
Basketball - Scholarship fee per season per family
Softball - Pee Wee/T-Ball 5-9 yrs. (One official)
Gymnasium Rentals
Ben Garza Gym - Additional Hours
Cabaniss Field Gym - Additional Hours
Aquatic Fees
Lifeguard Classes R94
Water Safety Instruction Training by staff
books excluded
Swim League Scholarship Fee per child per season
Recreational Facilities Rentals
Non-profit Organizations - 501-C3 or other
Meeting Space

SECTION 2. That the following rental and recreation fees are hereby established:
Youth Athletics
Basketball - Late Registration Fee $ 15
Aquatic Fees
Swim Lessons - Scholarship Fee per session per child $ 8
Life Saving Instruction Classes - Books Excluded
Waterfront $ 20
Head guard $ 25
Swim Leagues - Fee for each additional Child $ 30 /8wks/person
Splash Parties - Natatorium - 2 Hours
40 people or less $125, over 40 add $1 per person.

Private and Semi Private Lesson Court Fee - per player $ 1 Per Lesson
