AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A 10 YEAR LEASE, WITH A 10 YEAR RENEWAL OPTION, OF
2.55 ACRES OF UPLAND AND SUBMERGED LAND ON WHITECAP
BOULEVARD ADJACENT TO THE WHITECAP WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY, WITH THE PADRE ISLAND YACHT
CLUB FOR THEIR CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF BOAT SLIPS,
CLUB HOUSE, AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS, AT A RENTAL RATE
OF 10% OF GROSS REVENUE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a 10
year lease, with a 10 year renewal option, of 2.55 acres of upland and submerged land on Whitecap
Boulevard adjacent to the Whitecap Wastewater Treatment Plant property, with the Padre Island
Yacht Club for their construction and operation of boat slips, club house, and related improvements,
at a rental rate of 10% of gross revenue.
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
