HomeMy WebLinkAbout022345 ORD - 09/12/19951 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $61,296.00 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES, INCLUDING PERSONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH, DURING THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 1, 1995 TO AUGUST 31, 1996; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022279, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1995- 96 BUDGET, BY ADDING $61,296.00 TO THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND -HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated a grant in the amount of $61,296.00 from the Texas Department of Health for public health services, including personal and environmental health, during the period September 1, 1995 to August 31, 1996. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 022279, which adopted the FY 1995-96 budget, is amended by adding $61,296.00 to the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund -Health Department. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 12. day of SCf {-t Vv\ hd ✓ , 1995.
