CLOSING AND ABANDONING A BLANKET PIPELINE EASEMENT ON
LOT 6 AND A PORTION OF LOT 5, BLOCK 1, LAKE VIEW ACRES
SUBDIVISION; SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFIED
CONDITIONS; AND THE REPLATTING OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN 180
DAYS.
WHEREAS, there exists a blanket pipeline easement on Lot 6 and Lot 5, Block 1, Lake
View Acres Subdivision, as dedicated by instrument recorded in Volume 233, Page 538, and
Volume 259, Page 328, of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous to the City of
Corpus Christi to abandon said portions of the blanket pipeline easement, subject to the provisions
listed below;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That a blanket pipeline easement on Lot 6, and a portion of Lot 5, Block 1,
Lake View Acres, as dedicated by instrument in Volume 233, Page 538, and Volume 259, Page 328,
of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed for public use and
every municipal purpose, subject to the following specified conditions as part of closure:
1) That Owner pay Fair Market Value of $871 for a 10 -foot pipeline easement
which is the City's standard utility easement width.
2) That the gas line will be abandoned in place.
3) That Owner replat the property within 180 days at his expense; provided
however, the City Engineer may extend the time limit for an additional one
hundred eighty (180) days if extenuating circumstances outside the Owner's
control necessitate an extension.
