HomeMy WebLinkAbout022388 ORD - 10/24/1995AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 021224 PASSED AND APPROVED ON AUGUST 27, 1991 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING ON SARATOGA BOULEVARD FROM STAPLES TO RODD FIELD ROAD AND ON RODD FIELD ROAD FROM SARATOGA BOULEVARD TO SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance 021224 is hereby amended passed and approved on August 27. 1991 by amending Section 3 to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against the owners of property abutting on Saratoga Boulevard from Staples to Rodd Field Road and on Rodd Field Road from Saratoga Boulevard to South Padre Island Drive. a substantial copy of which is attached and incorporated as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the Zg- Day of CCfQbc.0 , 1995.
