HomeMy WebLinkAbout022411 ORD - 11/21/1995AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $100,000 FROM THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION AS A MATCHING GRANT TO HELP PURCHASE A COMPOST WINDROW TURNER MACHINE TO FACILITATE A COMPOSTING PILOT PROJECT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022279 ADOPTING THE FY 95-96 BUDGET BY ADDING $100,000 TO THE GENERAL FUND SOLID WASTE SERVICES CAPITAL OUTLAY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $100,000 is hereby appropriated from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (" TNRCC"), as a matching grant to help purchase a compost windrow turner machine to facilitate a composting pilot project. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 022279 adopting the FY 95-96 budget is hereby amended by adding $100,000 to the General Fund Solid Waste ServicesCapital Outlay. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the Z1 day of 11/44 G (II, kit , 1995.
