Home My WebLink About022440 ORD - 12/19/1995AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $301,725.00 AND $176,396.00 RECEIVED FROM CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT COMPANY (CPL) AND SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY (SWBT), RESPECTIVELY, TO THE WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND NO. 205 AS THEIR RESPECTIVE SHARES OF THE UTILITY CORRIDOR PROJECT; APPROPRIATING $73,000 FROM THE ACCUMULATED INTEREST EARNINGS IN THE 205 WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO THAT FUND TO COVER COSTS OF THE EXTRA UTILITY CASING; AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022394, WHICH APPROVED THE FY 1995-96 CAPITAL BUDGET, TO INCREASE THE WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND BY $551,121.00; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $301,725.00 and $176,396.00 received from CPL and SWBT respectively to the Water Capital Improvement Fund No. 205 as their respective shares of the utility corridor project. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $73,000.00 from the accumulated interest earnings in the 205 Water Capital Improvement Fund to that Fund to cover the costs of the extra utility casing. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 022394, which approved the FY 1995-96 Capital Budget, is hereby amended to increase the Water Capital Improvement Fund by $551,121.00. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed an sh 11 take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the / Q/ day of , 1995.
