AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS STATE
AQUARIUM ASSOCIATION, A WARRANTY DEED ACCEPTING THE
CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY FROM THE AQUARIUM, AND AN
INSTRUMENT OF SALE AND CONVEYANCE ACCEPTING THE
CONVEYANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
FROM THE AQUARIUM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, IS
HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO:
SECTION 1. Execute the Purchase Agreement between the City of Corpus Christi, a Texas
home -rule municipal corporation, ("City") and the Texas State Aquarium Association, a Texas non-
profit corporation ("Aquarium"), which sets out the Aquarium assets to be sold and the purchase
price the City will pay, a substantial copy of the Purchase Agreement is attached and incorporated
as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. Accept on behalf of the City the Warranty Deed conveying all of the
Aquarium's right, title, and interest in and to Lot C, Texas State Aquarium Subdivision, and Lots
4, 6, and 8, Block G, Brooklyn Addition, from the Aquarium to the City, a substantial copy of the
General Warranty Deed is attached and incorporated as Exhibit B.
SECTION 3. Accept on behalf of the City the Instrument of Sale and Conveyance
conveying all of the Aquarium's right, title, and interest in and to the Turtle Improvements, the
Sealab Improvements, the Leased Port Property, and the mobile aquarium (Vehicle) to the City, a
substantial copy of the Instrument of Sale and Conveyance is attached and incorporated as Exhibit
c.
