RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COMMUNITY CULTURAL PLAN AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE MUNICIPAL ARTS COMMISSION AND THE COMMUNITY
CULTURAL PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE AND AUTHORIZING IMPLEMENTATION
OF THE COMMUNITY CULTURAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City endorsed efforts to develop a Community Cultural Plan, including
federal funding for the project; and
WHEREAS, the City authorized a consulting contract with ArtsMarket Consulting, Inc. to
coordinate with the Municipal Arts Commission, the Community Cultural Plan Steering Committee,
City government and the community in the development of a Community Cultural Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Arts Commission and the Community Cultural Plan Steering
Committee have reviewed and recomend adoption of the proposed Community Cultural Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council adopts the Community Cultural Plan as recommended
by the Municipal Arts Commission and the Community Cultural Plan Steering Committee, and
authorizes the Municipal Arts Commission and City staff to begin implementation of the
Community Cultural Plan.
