AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE,
TO ENTER INTO A FIVE YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT
WITH THE TEXAS JAZZ FESTIVAL, INC. FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A FESTIVAL AND RELATED
ACTIVITIES IN MCCAUGHAN PARK AND THE OLD CITY
HALL SITE, IN CONSIDERATION OF PAYING THE
GREATER OF 4% OF GROSS RECEIPTS OR DIRECT CITY
COSTS IN SUPPORTING THE EVENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Tat the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to enter into a
new five year lease agreement with the Texas Jazz Festival, Inc. for the purpose of conducting a
festival and related activities in McCaughan Park and the old City Hall site, in consideration of
Texas Jany Festival, Inc. paying the City the greater of 4% of Gross Receipts or direct City costs in
supporting the event annually.
