HomeMy WebLinkAbout022586 ORD - 05/28/1996AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH CORPUS CHRISTI INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO SUMMER RECREATION SITES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi a Political Subdivision of Texas, pursuant to the authority granted by Chapter 791 Government Code, V.T.C.A., as amended, desires to participate in an interlocal governmental agreement with Corpus Christi Independent School District ("CCISD") for CCISD to provide transportation services to City summer recreation sites. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute an interlocal agreement with Corpus Christi Independent School District, for CCISD to provide transportation services to City summer recreation sites. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 2) Day of , 1996.
