CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 49 -SQUARE FOOT AREA OF A 7.5 -
FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT IN LOT 16, BLOCK 7, RIDGEWOOD
SUBDIVISION; SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFIED
CONDITIONS; AND THE OWNER REPLATTING THE PROPERTY
WITHIN 180 DAYS AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, there exists a 49 -square foot area of a 7.5 -foot wide utility easement in Lot 16,
Block 7, Ridgewood Subdivision, shown by plat recorded in Volume 42, Pages 158-159, of the Map
Records of Nueces County, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That a 49 -square foot area of a 7.5 -foot wide utility easement in Lot 16, Block
7, Ridgewood Subdivision, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 42, Pages 158-159, of the Map
Records of Nueces County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed for public use and every
municipal purpose, subject to the following specified conditions as part of closure:
1) That Owner pay the fair market value of $49 for the 49 -square foot portion
of a 7.5 -foot wide utility easement.
2) That Owner replat the property within 180 days at his expense; provided
however, the City Engineer may extend the time limit for an additional one
hundred eighty (180) days if extenuating circumstances outside the Owner's
control necessitate an extension.

That the foregoing ordinance was read for the first time and passed to its second reading on this the
