AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH GULF COAST COUNCIL OF LA RAZA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,333 FROM THE EMERGENCY SHELTER
GRANT PROGRAM FOR SERVICES TO LOW INCOME HOMELESS
CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or his designated representative is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract with Gulf Coast Council of La Raza in the amount of $37,333 from the
Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) for services to low income homeless children and young adults, a
substantial copy which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes and marked
Exhibit "A"
SECTION 2. That this authorization is subject to clearance and release of FY 1996 ESG
funds to the City of Corpus Christi by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
