FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A FESTIVAL AND RELATED ACTIVITIES ON THE SIDEWALKS, MEDIANS, AND SEAWALL ALONG SHORELINE FROM IH 37 TO CONVENTION CENTER COMPLEX IN CONSIDERATION OF PAYING THE GREATER OF 4% OF GROSS RECEIPTS OR THE COST OF CITY SERVICES FOR EVENT SUPPORT, HAVING EXCLUSIVE USE FOR 3 DAYS AND NONEXCLUSIVE USE FOR 19 DAYS DURING A SET PERIOD FOR EACH OF FIVE YEARS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 11, 1996; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a five- year lease with Bayfest, Inc. for the purpose of conducting a festival and related activities on the sidewalks, medians, and seawall along Shoreline from 114 37 to the Convention Center complex, in consideration of paying the greater of 4% of gross receipts or the cost of city services for event support, with Bayfest, Inc. having exclusive use for 3 days and nonexclusive use for 19 days during a set period for each of five years beginning September 11, 1996. SECTION 2.
