AUTHORIZING PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND LEISURE TIME
ACTIVITIES RENTAL FEE AND RECREATIONAL FEE INCREASES AND
ADDING NEW RENTAL FEES AND RECREATIONAL FEES; AND PROVIDING
FOR SEVERANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the limits for rental rate increases established in City Code
Sections 36-3, 36-7 and 36-8, the parks and recreation director is authorized to increase certain fees
set forth below, with the rate increase limits in sections 36-3, 36-7 and 36-8 thereafter applying to
the fees authorized herein.
FY 95-96 FY96-97
Splash Parties - 2 Hours
All Outdoor Pools - 50 people or less $75 $100
Sailing School Class per student (with book) $55 $ 70
SECTION 2. That the following rental and recreation fees are hereby established:
ATHLETIC FEES
Girls Fast Pitch Softball
Late registration fee $50/Team
Youth Baseball
Late registration fee $50/Team
Gymnasiums
Youth basketball tournament rental (10 Hr. Max.) $150
Additional Hours $ 20/Per hr.
AQUATIC FEES
Season Swim Passes
Annual Adult $200
Annual Senior/Youth $150
Family Night Swim
Splash Parties - 2 Hours
All Outdoor Pools - 50 people or less $100
Natatorium - 50 people or less $150
Additional persons:
0-50 $ 50
51-100 $100
101-150 $150
151-200 $200
201 -and up $250 Max.

Short Course - 25 yard/meters per lane per hour $ 5
Short Course - 25 yard/meters pool per hour - based on 8 lanes $ 40
Long Course - 50 meters per lane per hour $ 7.50
Long Course - 50 meters pool per hour based on 8 lanes $ 60
Diving Well per hour $ 20
Total Pool Rental not to exceed $400 per day
Deposit (refundable cleanup deposit) $250
Additional City Staff: (Natatorium Fees do not include set up or
additional lifeguards)
Facility set up per hour: $ 20
Lifeguards $ 8 per hour

SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or
provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of
competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase,
word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section,
paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its
purpose.
