TRANSFERRING $626,584 FROM THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND TO THE NO.
162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; APPROPRIATING $626,584 AS
MATCHING FUNDS FOR SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAMS IN
THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; APPROPRIATING $47,887 IN
PROGRAM INCOME FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE OF THE NO.
162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND AS MATCHING FUNDS FOR SENIOR
COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAMS IN THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE
GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $626,584 is hereby transferred from the No. 102 to the No. 162
Federal/State Grants Fund.
SECTION 2. That $626,584 is hereby appropriated as matching funds for Senior
Community Services Programs in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund.
SECTION 3. That $47,887 in program income from the unreserved fund balance of the No.
162 Federal/State Grants Fund is hereby appropriated as matching funds for Senior Community
Services Programs in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that is ordinance i passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the day of4600 , 1996.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
